Vacancy – Treasurer

We have an immediate vacancy to join the Board of Trustees as Treasurer.

We are a hard-working and supportive Board committed to providing strategic leadership and support to a vital Christian charity in the City. We meet every 6 to 8 weeks for a two-hour meeting and you will also need to be in regular contact with our two paid part-time staff who manage the day-to-day financial procedures. We are in a good financial position and have some reserves which we have earmarked for service development plans. We can offer some short-term experienced help to introduce any systems/process changes you might want to make once you get to know us. We would like someone who can commit to us for a couple of years and has:

  • knowledge of financial accounting and reporting procedures
  • ability to communicate financial information to those who may have little or no financial background
  • hands-on book-keeping skills
  • strategic financial planning skills
  • knowledge of and commitment to the work of Winchester Basics Bank
  • a clear commitment to the Christian faith
