A major fundraising event was held at Christ Church Winchester on Saturday 22nd September, organised by the Winchester Basics Bank – which provides emergency food and clothing to people in difficulty. Over 150 people took part in the quiz in teams of 8 who were challenged with some tough questions by quiz supremo and local resident Kevin Ashman. “Overall we raised over £3000 and increased the awareness of the work done by the charity” said Mike Slinn, Chairman of Winchester Basics Bank, after the event. “It was great to receive positive feedback from those attending and to hear they had enjoyed a fun evening with good food and entertaining questions”.
