The Winchester Food & Basics Bank provides emergency food and clothing and is available for all people in the city and surrounding area.
In addition, during the holiday periods, we supply food to families with children who normally get free school meals and we support other local food charities targeted at low income households
We are a charity founded and supported by local churches and aided by caring organisations, individuals and Winchester City Council.

If you are in need of emergency food and/or clothing, the Food & Basics Bank is here to help you in the following ways:
2026 Summer Holiday Lunch Scheme.
We are inviting families with school-aged children (who live or attend a school in the city of Winchester and some surrounding areas, including Alresford) who feel they need some extra help over the school holidays to register for our Holiday Lunch Scheme.
THE OTHER REFERRALS MUST BE VIA AN AGENCY.

Are you struggling to pay for your fuel? Citizens Advice, Winchester can help. If you are unable to contact them yourself, please ask one of us and we can refer you (call us on 01962 855774).
We are open to receive clients every Monday to Friday in at least one of our 5 locations in Winchester or Alresford.
