The National Lottery Community Fund awards £20,000 to WBB

Following a series of exchanges and form-filling, the National Lottery Community Fund has decided that the Winchester Basics Bank warrants a funding grant to help continue the fight against food insecurity.

We thank David Knott, Chief Executive Officer, and his Funding Allocation Panel, for granting WBB the maximum amount of funds (a whopping £20,000) and promise to make good use of every single penny to help those families in the Winchester and District area that are struggling to put food on their tables in these very uncertain times.

Take Note Chamber Choir and The Hyde Pipers performance to put in your diaries!

On Sunday 29 June 2025 at 1.00 pm in Wolvesey Castle, Winchester, the Take Note Chamber Choir and The Hyde Pipers will perform a summer concert of folk and classical songs.

There is free admission with a retiring collection that will be split between English Heritage to thank them for using the palace and to the Winchester Basics Bank.

Bring rugs or chairs and a picnic!
