Harvest Festival

This year we have asked our local churches to pledge to donate food items in a specified month, rather than all together at Harvest Festival, to help spread the amount of food donated throughout the year.

We are very grateful for all Harvest donations which will help us to support individuals and families in need of extra help with food, supporting our holiday food schemes and also supporting other local food charities who help low income households.  We are working closely with the local Community Pantries to allow people to access food in the most suitable way for them.

Before your collection is due to start, please visit our website to see the current list of items most needed and the items we are not able to accept.  Please could you highlight to your supporters that we can not accept homemade items, out of date items (past their BBE or Use-by), part used or opened items.  Donating these items puts extra pressure on our charity to dispose.

If possible, please contact logsmanager@winchesterbasicsbank.co.uk who will be able to let you know any specific items that we are in need of and can provide you with a poster to use (or amend).    We can supply boxes or bags to store / transport the donations – please just ask . We would be very grateful if you could arrange for any donations to be dropped to our donation hub in Gabare House, far end of Winnall Valley Road, SO23 0LD on a Tue or Fri 9-3pm Other days can be arranged by prior agreement.  If you are unable to drop donations to us and would like us to collect, please contact us at least 1 week prior to agree a mutually convenient date.
